The most challenging of all design commissions is the remodel. The result will be scrutinized against the original, new must blend seamlessly with old, there is not one but hundreds of "experts" (often with opposing opinions), et cetera.  Success in this arena demands patience, compromise, strategy, discipline and an accessible firm with political acumen.  That is the climate we offer our clients, one that has come to be known as the "Hurdzan Experience".

Willow Point

Alexander City, Alabama

Est. 2003

Central Alabama is blessed with a chorus of beautiful lakes, but none superior to Lake Martin, whose shores are home to a fortunate few, including it's then outdated Alexander City golf course. Russell Lands acquired that course and in 2001, their leadership commissioned Hurdzan/Fry to reimagine the design to take full advantage of the lakeside vista.  The result is a layout which blends the adjacent Alabama Pine woods and Lake Martin to produce a spectacular golf course on which the majority of holes canvas the peninsula.  Infused with the native Southern Charm and hospitality of Willow Point members and staff, it’s evident why the course is considered one of the South’s coveted golf experiences.
